Information Unit (iRef)

As the PR arm of the MPIC student council, our department is responsible for maintaining the council’s social media presence and website, as well as serving as the link between the council and the students. We use our platforms to share important information about events and activities, as well as updates from the council and university. We also work to promote the work of the student council and highlight the achievements of our members.

Our Reach

As the PR department of the student council, we have a wide reach on multiple platforms. Our social media presence is particularly strong with almost 3,000 followers on Instagram, 500 followers on Twitter, and a Telegram newsletter with 1.3k followers. Additionally, we reach thousands of students via our Discord newsletter, which is distributed across several servers.

Additionally, we have the capability to display announcements on the information screens across the campus, which allows us to get important information and updates to students in a timely and efficient manner.

Lastly, we manage the student council’s website, which serves as a hub of information and resources for students, including information about upcoming events and activities, as well as information about the council and its members.

All these platforms allow us to reach a large audience of students, which gives us the ability to share important information and updates, promote the work of the student council, and highlight the achievements of our members.
