Cleaning out the safe

Soon we will be hosting a big event: the Unity. For our financial department, this also means making room for change.
Through the many board game evenings and other events the coins quickly accumulate, especially the small coins. These are particularly impractical at an event, but take up a lot of space in our safe.
Our bank offers us a vending machine, where you can insert the coins and then it pleasurably jingles.
However, depositing copper coins is only half the battle. For the Unity many coins with manageable values (50ct, 1€, 2€) have to be brought in.
Among other things we have to cope with the rush when everyone wants to return their cup at the end of the party. Then you just don’t have the time to look for the coins individually, but everything has to be ready to hand.
By a short telephone call with our bank (and 25 min in the waiting loop) the change roles were deposited for us. The most difficult thing was to bring the heavy boxes back to the student council.
The finance department is one of the highest offices in the service area of the student body. The appointees of the unit take care of the administration of the finances and can thus handle all of the cash. Therefore, financiers are particularly trustworthy student representatives who are entrusted with this task.
If you want to become active in the student council, you are welcome to visit us at any time in room Raum 00.06.036, MI-Gebäude.
