Study Introductory Days (SET)
At the beginning of each semester, the MPIC Student Council organizes an introductory event for the new freshmen (Bachelor and Master), the Introductory Study Days (SET).
The SET for the winter semester 2024/25 will take place from Thursday, October 10 to Sunday, October 13. They will be held in person, without the possibility to participate online.
Registration: You do not need to register for SET in general, but individual events may require registrations due to a capacity limit. If this is the case, it will be posted here on this page, we will update the information regularly.
We have also written an Erstiguide for you. You can find the newer German version here and the English version of the previous year here.
Tutor-Registration
The registration for SET-tutors is now open! You can register here.
As a SET-tutor, you will help out with the execution of the different SET-event. For exxample, you might guide new students across the campus, help bake pizza or supervise a campus-rallye station.
As a SET-tutor, you should be present during all the SET days. Please inform us beforehand, if you are not able to be there at some point. Furthermore, there is a tutor introduction event on wednesday, October 9 at 3:00 pm. Please make sure you are able to attend.

Guided tours of the institutes
We will once again offer guided tours through some of our Campus’s most interesting institutes. Sign-up has not started yet, details will follow soon.
City Rallye
On Sunday, October 13, we will organize a rallye through the city of Munich. Meeting point will be at Hofgarten Pavillon/Dianatempel. Registration will open shortly before the SET.
For future SET tutors
Registration for SET-tutors for winter semester 2024/25 will most likely start a couple of weeks before the SET. Details will follow.
